DEKOR: SCANDINAVIAN CRAFT

Proof that Scandinavian design is flourishing outside of Ikea, Scandinavia gets its own Eastside outpost with the opening of deKor, a home furnishings and accessory store in Echo Park.  Interior designer Isabelle Dahlin, who grew up in Sweden and now lives in Echo Park, has filled the Sunset Boulevard storefront near Mohawk Street (the former home of a body piercing shop) with vintage finds from trips back home as well as new, custom-designed items.

ALDEA: LABOR DAY WHITES

Although I tend to go for saturated color, sometimes white is the boldest hue of them all. I love this Jonathan Adler animal tableware, available at Aldea home. From lamps to pitchers, the menagerie is whimsical and bright.
