I'm seeing patterned stripes everywhere! I loved this somewhat traditional chair being reupholstered in this modern, brightly colored chevron.

LAVENDER SKIES

Today was a day for MAJOR house cleaning! Not too fun, but trying to make room for all my new art supplies. The Surface design class is truly inspiring me to pick up the paintbrush and experiment. I can definitely can see my travel influences (top photo from the Saguaro) on these new patterns and colors!

WATERCOLOR DAY

It's fun to play with watercolors and new painting techniques. Last week we learned about Miskit. Here is one of my new creations!

TIME FOR STRIPES

The Otis surface design class (taught by Toxi Dixon) is super inspiring! This week our assignment is to design some stripes. These mood images are interesting takes on non traditional stripe patterns.
