C WONDER: COLOR WOW

For the month of August, I decided to focus on big, bright and bold favorites, showcasing inspiring places I somehow didn't get the chance to already feature (or feature enough!) on the blog. This week I return to New York, pulling inspiration from a trip I went on in May to visit the National Stationery Show and ICFF.

C Wonder, a new home and fashion concept shop making its debut in Soho, was a welcome burst of color amongst the gray streets of rainy New York. I had never heard of this boutique, but my fashion conscious tour guide spotted the green awning from blocks away. The show sells a variety of home and fashion goods, and I was especially drawn to the typographic wallpaper. The monogramed plates were also a fun play of type and patterm.

Wanted to share an iPad wallpaper to coordinate with this month's desktop calendar. The design portrays some of my new art, which I will be sharing soon. Check back this week for additional new designs I will be showcasing.

BIG BRIGHT BOLD JULY

July has flown by! Although we are getting ready for Halloween at Postmark,  I don't want to let Sumemr go quite yet. It has been a crazy eventful month, with a spa day thrown in for good measure. A few highlights:

My 4th of July Staycation in Los Angeles, while a friend visited, was a superb beginning to the month. We got the chance to explore my favorite LA sites, including the always inspiring Getty Museum. Check out the gardens and the vistas here and here.

Spending time with my San Francisco friends and family was the second highlight. We got the chance to visit the new Exploratorium and take a day trip to Calistoga.

The best highlight of July was my trip to Alt Summit, courtesy of Postmark. What a great series of lectures and goodies, all culminating in a party at the Pinterest headquarters.
