ANTHROPOLOGIE: NATURAL TEXTURES

The Chelsea Market Anthropologie definitely picked up on its "refurbished urban" context. The store had several large scale artwork displays that utilized common materials in uncommon ways.
June 20, 2013 ANTHROPOLOGIE: PETER SOM

Love the new Peter Som collection for Anthropologie! It was great seeing the debut at the Chelsea Marketshop. According to Anthropologie, "Som quickly became renowned for creative feminine silhouettes and audacious prints evocative of bohemian socialites. Som's premier collection for Anthropologie - his trademark prints paired with couture touches - pays homage to the witty, wanderlusty, confidant woman who wears what she loves with ambivalence and with a wink."

June 20, 2013 In the Studio: Abstract Expressions

I have been trying to paint more frequently lately, and wanted to feature some of my new abstract expressions. It's super fun to sit in the studio on a sunny afternoon and play with color combinations with real paint. Looking forward to developing patterns with some of these painted textures.

June 19, 2013 PIGMENT: NEW HOME

Got the chance to visit one of my favorite San Diego shops, Pigment, last weekend and was thrilled to see their new digs. The interior square footage has more than doubled with the new expansion, further developing the popular Plant Lab and DIY terrarium bar while expanding the selection of whimsical products found on the sales floor.
The owners, Amy and Chad, added two outdoor living walls, outdoor seating and updated the Pigment signage. The store now has the space for "rooms" within the space that showcase furniture and accessories, as well as beautiful terrariums and artwork.
