The owners of Potted definitely curate the store and garden with theatrical flair. I love the contrasts of color and texture. They sell unique art inspired gifts, including Moroccan tiled tables and sustainably woven rugs.

POTTED: HAPPY SATURDAY

Ahhh Saturdays in Southern California: I just want to live outside, enjoying the colorful succulents and bright sunshine! A few weeks ago, on a rare sojourn to the Eastside, I visited one of my favorite LA "outdoor stores." Potted is MUCH more than a garden store..and I will share its theatrically styled interiors in the next few days. But, in the mean time, enjoy the whymsical container gardens and inspired outdoor living on this beautiful Saturday.

UP UP AND AWAY

How pretty are these prints from Theater Clouds? The paper cuts are made by artist, Elly MacKay and photographed to become miniature, magical worlds. Coming back from my first textile design class on this beautiful Saturday, I feel you like the little girl in the clouds: uplifted and inspired to create. As much as I love florescent orange and fuscia, these softer colors and light infused scenes are so enchanting!
