MCASD: TIJUANA ARTISTS
The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego is always one of my favorite stops when in Sa n Diego. On our last trip down south (See Mixture here and Pigment here) I hopped over to see the exhibit at MCASD. I love the interior of the museum, which takes advantage of the refurbished train station turned art gallery.
According to the Exhibit description, "The Very Large Array nods to the vast spectrum of objects assembled in MCASD’s collection and to the ability of artists to connect us to something much larger than ourselves. Featuring more than one hundred artists and representing five decades of collecting, this expansive exhibition of Museum acquisitions highlights many of the region’s most beloved and accomplished artists." It is a well curated exhibition of Mexican artists, the two dimensional pieces hung in a salon-style installation.
