LACMA: CELEBRATION OF COLOR

Today was a fun museum excursion day. Will share photos from the Hammer's awesome graphic design exhibition in the next few days. It made me think of how lucky we are to live in LA, home to so many inspiring museums. One of my favorite pieces ever is a work called "Welcome." A few years ago, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) featured  "Your Bright Future: 12 Contemporary Artists from Korea" – and Choi Jeong-Hwa wrapped the Ahmanson Building in bright fabric ribbons.

This is another one of my favorite past exhibitions from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Designed by the Korean Artist, Choi Jeong-Hwa, and built from 99-cent store finds, "Happy Happy" was a colorful introduction to "Your Bright Future: 12 Contemporary Artists from Korea."

What a fabulous morning! We have been shooting the Birdaria Lifestyle for our upcoming catalog launch. Today's Manhattan Beach home was the perfect setting for our Birdaria Artwork. The Birdaria patterns and mantras blend seamlessly with the owners' impressive self curated collection of paintings and photography. This is a super sneak peak into a few of our captured moments. SILVER LAKE DETAIL

Lake Boutique in Silverlake always has such pretty things! The vibe is definitely SoCal cool. The store possesses the perfect juxtaposition of opposites: casual & elegant, refined and raw, edgy and enduring, simple and sophisticated. Schooled at Parsons in New York, the owner's background in clothing design provides her with an experienced eye for curating pieces that are both on trend and timelessly chic.

GRUB: VALENCIA CASUAL DINING

I'm definitely a sucker for cool ambiance and sweet potato fries (we ordered two rounds!) and after a weekend of fine dining, this casual dinner at Grub was the perfect finish! I'm so glad we stopped for the table graphics and stayed for the delicious chicken salad!
