I'm not going to lie. It was pretty exciting to get a bouquet of beautiful roses delivered to my door, even if I knew the sender was not a tall, dark, handsome stranger!

JEANETTA GONZALES: UNIQUE SPACE

A few more photos from Jeanetta Gonzales' Unique LA space. Visiting her studio a few weeks ago, I was struck how the space has come together. Jeanetta's unique design eye has curated quite the selection of artisanal goods into captivating vignettes that showcase her love of pattern and color.

I wanted to present a special post for a little Monday creative inspiration. A friend, colleague and fellow blogger, Jeanetta Gonzales just moved into a new studio space in downtown LA's UNIQUE LA building. When taking calligraphy workshop last month, I had the chance to get a tour of her new space.

Jeanetta shares the studio space with her friend, Brian, and the room perfectly captures their global fusion aesthetic. Jeanetta and Brian are both designers with a love of graphics, prints, typography, layers of texture. From a tree wallpaper that anchors the entrance wall, to shelves of well displayed design books and vintage ephemera, the studio space feels rustic and modern. According to Jeanetta, "I am pretty eclectic and love to use color and mix different styles. I like mid century modern, global and Scandinavian design. I love a room that feels lived in and inviting - with collected items and personal touches." The space, inspired by the industrial vibe of the building, definitely translates their eclectic style.
