I am excited to share a few photos of a project I worked on. Assembly Salon recently opened in Beverly Hills and is offering styling for hair, make up and nails. I designed the logo and the pattern, which you can see being used as beautiful back lit screens throughout the space. Paravant Architects created such a fun, modern interior!

One of the new merchants I discovered at the Pasadena Rose Bowl was Barrington Blue. The studio offers repurposed vintage kilim rugs turned into floor cushions and pillows. Crafted out of a vibrant, vintage Turkish Kilims, the pillows are backed by a lux, black basketweave upholstery fabric and paired with brand new feather down pillow inserts.
Born out of a love of travel, design, upholstery and textile craft, Barrington Blue breathes new life into vintage & handmade textiles and furniture. Each piece is unique and hand-crafted in Los Angeles.

Watching all the news coverage today about the Boston Marathon bombing was a disheartening experience. As a former East Coaster who worked in Boston, my heart goes out to all the people affected by this senseless tragedy. I can't even imagine the pain and suffering caused at the finish line of what should be such an incredible celebration.

Visiting the Rose Bowl Flea Market makes for such an inspiring day! I haven't been for a few months, and though I mostly came for visual inspiration and for helping a friend with his furniture pruchases, I couldn't resist picking up a few vintage books. I was glad to run into Joanne, who curates a pretty collection of vintage floral dresses. She is a Rose Bowl regular and always has a colorful selection of 50's and 60's clothing and housewares. Every time I see the bold Hawaiian prints, I want to add a few festive mumus to my closet!

The Kaleidoscope trend is picking up the pace. While I was shopping for career clothes this weekend, every store from Zara to Anthropologie seemed to have a kaleidoscope frenzy. I opened up the newest Oprah magazine, and was blown away by the Kaleidoscope photoshoot. I loved the styling of the multiple models wearing multiplied kaleidoscope prints.
