COPENHAGEN PASTRY: DELICIOUS DANISH

The best part of being a graphic designer is working with creative clients and learning about diverse businesses. From beauty bars to event planners, my current project list is very colorful. This week, I was fortunate to collaborate with a super talented Culver City design team on the website design for this delicious bakery. Photographing the new Copenhagen Pastry shop was literally icing on the cake, especially when they graciously sent me home with a box full of of delicious samples. I will share the enticing photos when they we go live, but for now, be sure to visit this Culver City newcomer. The authentic Danish pastries - filled with sometimes even 27 layers of buttery goodness - literally melt in your mouth and are worth the extra workouts!

KATHERINE RALLY: BOLD INTERIORS

I am so excited to feature such talented designers on BigBright&Bold. Katherine Rally has generously sent a few photos featuring the Bali beach house of interior designer, Lorraine Allen which serves as a perfect backdrop for the Katherine Rally Textiles. Modern and bright takes on classic Indonesian Batik, the patterns play well together and are meant to be layered in diverse groupings.

A+R STORE: FOLDED TABLECLOTH

The Venice A+R store has always been such an inspiring destination. (See posts here and here) I recently got the chance to visit their new La Brea Outpost, and a detailed photoshoot is definitely coming soon. For now, this incredible neon origami tablecloth deserves its own accolades. Designed by Margrethe Odgaard for Hay, the crease lines of a folded tablecloth are highlighted by the vibrant reactive dyes digitally printed on soft 100% cotton. It’s a singular effect by the Copenhagen-based textile and color designer, a Danish Design School and RISD alum that is breathtaking.

The art at Reform School is such an eclectic mix: from Silkscreen and watercolor paintings to paper cutout posters and inked caricatures.
