MONICA SQUITIERI JEWELRY

The best part of attending shows like UNIQUE LA is meeting all the super talented artisans! I got the chance to meet Monica Squitieri and try on her gorgeous new jewelry line.

Monica Squitieri began making jewelry at a young age using her father’s hand tools to hammer metal and cut wire. She learned how to weave various textiles and fine metals from her mother. By using a combination of these techniques, she developed her own unique style. Growing up on a farm, Monica has always been drawn to nature. While her style has evolved since childhood, she has retained nature’s inspiration. Her latest line is inspired by California’s landscapes such as the gulches of Big Sur and the tide pools of Santa Cruz and Malibu. Every piece has a story. Her ideas come about through sketches and wax carvings of some of the most spectacular places in California.

Her wish is for her clients to feel a personal connection with her pieces and enjoy wearing them as much as she loves creating them.

Love these cards from Pei Pinney at last weekend's Unique LA. Pei design is a boutique and stationery brand based in Southern California. Their designs embrace whimsy and simplicity within the modern lifestyle. All the products feature Pei's playful illustrations and designs that bring a sweet combination of sophistication, utility and joy to everyday life. Very clever and fun copy matches the colorful style.

POPPY & BLUSH HOLIDAYS

Last weekend's Unique LA definitely put me in the holiday mood, and this booth by Poppy & Blush was full of merriment and cheer. At the show, I fortuitously met the girls of Poppy & Blush, a styling studio that organizes and designs festive events.

Poppy & Blush is an event design company specializing in handcrafted details. They are known for creating a unique look for every occasion. The team crafts a vision with details that complement everyone's personal style. They create the mood and atmosphere that will connect family and friends in a memorable way.

This booth was a personable example of their festive vision. From creatively crafted cheer greetings to a fun chalkboard holiday tree, the team designed iconic holiday decor with clever materials.

As the holidays are quickly approaching and we are all scrambling for the perfect gifts, I wanted to share some merry decor from the very talented event studio, Poppy & Blush.

Poppy&Blush's Unique LA booth was a festive breath of fresh air. The booth had been transformed into a sparkling room, tables clad with holiday cheer. From glitter dipped utensils to a delicious paper crepe cake, the tablescapes inspired and delighted. The gals cleverly turned simple materials into magical ornaments, crafting fashionably festive holiday decor.
