POSTMARK NEW YEAR

Although it's not yet Christmas, Holiday festivities are in full swing at the office. We are super excited to launch our Postmark New Year invitations and correspondence. My friend and fellow blogger, Jeanetta Gonzales, worked on the lettering for some of these bold invites. See her post here.

SILVERLAKE LIVING

So glad we got the chance to step inside of Deborah's home during our Unique Walking Tour of Silverlake. I love the inside of the Silverlake house. It celebrates beautiful SoCal light and bright colors. Her bedroom was a haven for so many glorious plants, from palms to succulents. 

SILVERLAKE STAIRCASE HOME

The weather is finally dipping here in Socal, and it definitely feels like our Los Angeles winter has finally arrived. I wanted to share a few photos from a recent home tour, a house that embraces the great Los Angeles outdoors.

Silverlake is one of those neighborhoods that seems to embody the essence of the Southern California lifestyle. This home, located on a walkup staircase on one of Silverlake's Stair streets, is quintessential LA. The house was built in the middle of the century by a creative couple, who hired a local architect that practiced under LA's Modernist principals. The entrance is located at the end of a large patio, with sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills. The deck becomes an impromptu gathering place for outdoor socials, complete with a built in grill. Now, it's a garden mecca for thriving succulents. The current owner renovated the historic structure, expanding the windows to embrace the views, while preserving the architectural integrity of the floor plan. Everything about home is inviting, casually embracing indoor/outdoor living. Light and color play on every surface, from the chatreuse walls and orange door to the colorful typographic patterns on the sofa.

Wanted to share some of Kendra Lebo's design work. Kendra specializes in textile design, logo and identity design, invitations, packaging, book design, surface pattern design, and custom resumes and business cards. I love how the vintage menus inspire her diverse designs!
