Since I have been on a stripes trend lately, I pulled out last year's Kate Spade Palm Springs photos. I love how animated the room gets with all the rainbow stripes that cover the windows, walls and floors! It was such a gorgeous pop up shop, perfect for Palm Springs Canyon Drive.

I have been seeing a lot of stripes lately, which are even more fun when they are painted in vibrant watercolors or live on rainbow zebras! I'm thinking of painting my in bold rainbow stripes, so check out the Pinterest board here for some colorful inspiration.

Beam & Anchor was definitely a destination outside of Portland's Pearl District, and I'm so glad we made the effort! The 7,000 square foot building, set amidst an industrial landscape in North Portland, is the perfect home for the well curated artisan wares. The Beam & Anchor store is comprised of an evolving selection of carefully curated pieces, including custom-made furniture, art, ceramics, jewelry, home goods, and beautifully crafted items for travel, work, and living.

The Beam & Anchor shop is a unique destination for unique gifts. Founded in the Winter of 2011, the shop started through a a carpe diem moment when Robert and Jocelyn Rahm decided that life was too short to not pursue their dream. With a passion for great design and the desire to support local makers, Beam & Anchor was born. I loved the individually curated displays: from a table with local metal jewelry in front of a well worn painted slat wall, to a modern rocker upholstered in local Native American patterns, the shop imbues the essence of Portland.

Beam & Anchor embodies the essence of Portland's creative culture. The shop sells local artifacts, which feel rustic, warm and nostalgic, and provides a studio space for the makers. The huge space is filled to the brim with a collection of goods made with care. The space is just as stellar as the products they sell.
